Welcome
I am an Art Director and User Interface (UI) Designer with experience in all aspects of effective marketing, compelling graphic communication and user-friendly interface design. I am particularly interested in bringing excellent design and web standards to rich internet applications and eCommerce solutions. I believe that successful design is more than making slick graphics or simply keep up with trends; it's about the user’s experience. User centered-design has a direct impact on page views, brand loyalty, ROI and the overall success of any interactive project.
My experience includes core concept development, story boarding and web site content management. My ability to create, execute and manage incorporates skills in illustration, logo design, graphic design, page lay-out, animation, XHTML, .NET, AJAX, CSS, RoR, and JavaScript coding.
What I have been up to lately
- I am now a member of the Usability Professionals Association
- After working with a start-up and interfaces and applications are flying out of the door as fast as you can spell 'Firefighter' it is glaringly obvious that usability is a field that will effectively save the world from bad design and improve the quality of life for anyone and everyone online. If you actually like to use anything online, more than likely you have experienced the work of a usability professional.
- I am so pleased to be fortunate enough to enjoy success as a designer and graduate in to a new and diverse field. I am proud to display my shiny new icon on my site. Your welcome in advance, I promise to make the web a better place.
- Chi Chi Amor gets neat-o SlideShowPro
- In addition to awesome Flash-based slideshows, I hooked up SSP Director to a MySQL database to give my clients the ability to control all the content of the shows.
- Its always great to see a client succeed and grow so quickly. They are also collaborating with acclaimed artist, P$inner. Very Cool!
- Taming the HTML Email beast
- Blasting away. Its been strange to code for HTML emails. gmail strips background colors, mac messes up my type, etc. So its back to 1990. It felt strange hard-coding everything. I will be posting proofs very soon. The end result is a series of very sharp emails.
- MyTeamZone gets a face-lift
- I went with a slightly less sporty feel to make the site more approachable.
